AHAVI Celebrates 

The Africa Celebrates Dinner & Dance is a cultural outreach event that celebrates and showcases the cultural vitality of Africa. The main goal of this Celebration is to showcase the positive image of Africa, and raise awareness of the continent of rich and varied cultures. This one-night event featured an exhibition of the vibrancy of Africa, food, costumes, dancing, fashion show and a live performance. The event brought together a diverse group of people to learn, celebrate and experience the value of difference and diversity.

 

African Eloquence

Annual Afro-Caribbean Eloquent Youth Celebration is a cultural outreach event that celebrates the vitality of Africa, and promotes higher education among Afro-Caribbean and African-descendent youth of Great Victoria BC. It supports and helps youth to realize their full potential, and also to raise awareness of African and Caribbean countries as states of rich and various cultures which are useful to enhance Canadian multiculturalism.

Five contestants from Jamaica, Tanzania, Liberia South Sudan, Somalia and Kenya participated in Afro-Caribbean Eloquent Youth Celebration, October 19, 2013. The winner of that night is a contestant from Kenya.
